Markets are Mae Sot's best shopping. The central Burmese market is good for food, textiles, and everyday cross-border goods, while Rim Moei Market near the bridge is more focused on imported goods, dried products, and border-trade souvenirs.
Be careful with gems and jade unless you really know what you are buying.
