Wat Chumphon Khiri

Old Mae Sot temple with a Shwedagon-style pagoda in the town centre

Wat Chumphon Khiri is an old temple in central Mae Sot, best known for its Shwedagon-style pagoda. It is easy to visit while walking around town and helps round out the Burmese influence seen more dramatically at Wat Thai Wattanaram.

The temple is modest, but worth a stop if you are spending the day in Mae Sot rather than hurrying straight to the bridge.
