Getting There

Bodrum is served by Milas-Bodrum Airport (code: BJV), about 36 kilometres from the town centre. Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and several European charter carriers fly there in summer; connections via Istanbul year-round. The airport transfer by shuttle bus (havas) or taxi takes 45–60 minutes.

From other Turkish cities, buses are the main option — frequent services from Istanbul (10–11 hours overnight), Ankara (10 hours), İzmir (3 hours), and Marmaris (2 hours). The bus terminal (otogar) is about 3 kilometres from the harbour. Ferries connect Bodrum to several Greek islands including Kos (30 minutes on the fast ferry) and Rhodes, making it easy to combine with a Greek island trip.
