Soura is a small Lycian ruin near Demre, traditionally associated with an oracle of Apollo. It is not as visually complete as Myra, but its scattered tombs, walls, and sanctuary remains make it a rewarding stop for travellers tracing the ancient Lycian coast.
The appeal is the quiet setting. Soura sits away from the main flow of tour buses, close to the sea and the hills, so it works best as a short independent detour paired with Myra, Andriake, or the Church of St Nicholas.
