Kizlar Sivrisi rises to 3,086 metres east of Elmali, the highest summit of the western Taurus. It is the area's serious outdoor anchor: high pastures, cold air even in summer, and a mountain route that needs planning rather than a casual afternoon.
The usual access is from villages east of town, and Wikivoyage describes it as a multi-day round trip. For most travellers, even seeing the peak from the Elmali plateau helps explain why this inland town feels so different from the coast.
