Elmali Museum is the town's strongest indoor sight. Its headline exhibit is the Elmali treasure, a large hoard of ancient coins looted from the region in the 1980s, smuggled abroad, and eventually returned to Turkey after a long legal fight.
The museum is small, but it gives useful context for the Lycian and wider ancient world around this part of the Taurus. It is the first stop to make before looking for older traces in the town and hills.
