The Three Tombs, or Üç Kümbetler, are a small group of medieval mausoleums just east of the old centre. The largest is traditionally linked to Emir Saltuk and dates from the late 12th century; the others are later and less certain.
Their value is in the shapes: cylindrical stone bodies, conical roofs, and carved details that connect Erzurum to the wider Seljuk world of eastern Anatolia. They are an easy stop after the Twin Minaret Madrasa.
