Giresun Museum occupies a former Greek Orthodox church, which gives the visit more character than a standard provincial display. Inside are archaeological finds, Ottoman-era objects, textiles, weapons, household goods, and material from the surrounding Black Sea coast.
It is a useful first stop before walking into Zeytinlik, because it sets up the mix of Greek, Ottoman, Pontic, and Turkish layers that shaped the old town.
