Tile Mosque

The Tile Mosque is modern, built in the 1970s, but it is one of Kütahya's clearest visual statements about ceramics. Its exterior is wrapped in blue and turquoise tiles, including the dome and minaret, which gives it a Central Asian look unusual for an Anatolian town mosque.

It has been closed for restoration for long stretches, so treat it as an exterior stop unless local signs say otherwise. Even from outside, it is a useful contrast to the older Ottoman monuments around the Great Mosque.
