Çıralı Village

Slow-paced village above Olympos beach, deliberately undeveloped

Çıralı is the village immediately north of the Olympos ruins, set on the same long pebble beach and protected from the kind of intensive resort building that has overrun most of the Lycian coast. The whole valley is a designated turtle nesting site, which keeps the development small-scale.

The village is mostly small pensions and family-run cafés on a quiet road behind the dunes. Renting a bicycle for a couple of euros gets you between Çıralı, the ruins, the Chimaera trailhead, and the beach in about twenty minutes. This is the right base if you want quiet over party — the treehouse scene a kilometre south at Olympos itself is rowdier.
