The Lake Van ferry links Tatvan with Van across about 90 km of open water. It is partly practical transport and partly a strange eastern Anatolian experience: railway wagons, passengers, gulls, mountains, and hours of lake horizon.
Do not expect a polished cruise. Times can be irregular and the crossing is long, but that slowness is exactly why it stays in the memory.
