Avesta Architectural Complex

The Avesta Architectural Complex is a garden and monumental ensemble on Al-Khorazmi Street, built as a cultural landmark for the city. The complex takes its name from the ancient Zoroastrian sacred text, connecting the region to its pre-Islamic heritage, and the design incorporates symbolic references to the Avestan tradition.

The gardens are a pleasant retreat from the surrounding concrete streets. The monumental gateway and decorative tilework give a sense of the architectural ambition that Uzbekistan has applied to civic projects in recent decades. It is smaller and quieter than the Al-Khwarizmi Complex and rarely crowded.
