Moc Chau is on Highway 6, roughly 200 km from Hanoi via Hoa Binh and Mai Chau. Buses and limousines run from Hanoi, but the road is slow enough that you should treat the journey as a half day. Motorbike travellers usually break the route in Hoa Binh or Mai Chau before climbing to Moc Chau.
