Getting There

By air: Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR) is 35 km south of Nha Trang city centre. It receives direct flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang on domestic carriers (Vietnam Airlines, VietJet, Bamboo Airways), as well as international charters from Russia, South Korea, and China. Taxis and airport shuttle buses connect the airport to the city; the journey takes 40–50 minutes.

By train: Nha Trang is on the main north-south Reunification Express line between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The journey from Ho Chi Minh City takes around 7–8 hours on the overnight sleeper; from Da Nang, about 6–7 hours. The train station is centrally located, about 1 km from the beach. This is often the most pleasant way to arrive.

By bus: Open-tour buses connecting the main tourist cities stop in Nha Trang. The journey from Ho Chi Minh City takes around 9–10 hours; from Da Lat, about 3–4 hours.
