Nha Trang divides neatly between the beach and the bay. The 6 km beach is the social heart of the city — promenade, palms, and warm South China Sea water. Out in the bay, the islands and dive sites of the Hon Mun Marine Protected Area offer the best snorkelling and diving in Vietnam. Back on land, the Cham towers at Po Nagar are the most important ancient ruins on the south-central coast.
