Dich Long Cave and Pagoda

Limestone cave pagoda complex in northern Ninh Binh, with shrines tucked into karst chambers.

Dich Long combines two Ninh Binh signatures: limestone caves and Buddhist worship. The pagoda complex climbs into a karst outcrop, with gates, small shrines, and cave chambers where the stone formations share space with statues and incense. It is less famous than Trang An or Bich Dong, which is part of the appeal if you want a quieter religious site.

The visit is short but atmospheric, especially in the cooler part of the morning. Steps lead up into the cave area, and the stone can be slippery in damp weather. It works well as a side stop if you are already exploring Gia Vien or the northern side of Ninh Binh province.
