Hồ Mây is a hilltop park on Big Mountain, reached by cable car from the foot of the hill near Front Beach. The cable car ride itself is the best part — five minutes over the city with views down to both beaches.
At the top is a slightly old-fashioned theme park: small zoo, water rides, restaurants, a Buddha statue, a couple of viewpoints. It works well as a half-day with kids; solo travellers will find an hour at the top plenty. The cable car fare includes park entry; buy tickets at the base station.
