The Old Bus Depot Markets, on Wentworth Avenue in Kingston, run every Sunday in a cavernous former bus depot — about 200 stalls of crafts, fashion, gourmet food and produce. It is the main weekend market in Canberra and has been running since 1994.
The food court on the eastern side of the building runs a rotating roster of small kitchens including African, Tibetan, Filipino, Middle Eastern and Indian operators. The craft and design side is unusually strong — much of it from local makers — and the indoor venue means it runs reliably even in winter. Open Sundays 10am-4pm.
