Monument Hill rises just west of central Albury and gives the clearest quick view of the twin city: the Murray River corridor, the railway, the low suburbs, and the hills beyond Wodonga.
The war memorial at the top is simple but dignified. Go early or late in the day for better light, then drop back down toward the river and botanic gardens.
