Getting There

Armidale Regional Airport (ARM) has direct flights to Sydney with Rex (Regional Express) and FlyPelican, with connections from there to the rest of Australia. The flight from Sydney takes about an hour.

By train, NSW TrainLink runs a daily XPT service between Sydney Central and Armidale, taking roughly seven hours. A Greyhound bus service also connects Armidale to Sydney, Brisbane, and Tamworth.

By car from Sydney, take the New England Highway (A15) north through Tamworth — the drive is around 570 km and takes about five and a half hours. From Brisbane the drive is about 430 km via the New England Highway, taking around four and a half hours.
