Beaches

New South Wales has over 2,000 kilometres of coastline and some of the finest beaches in Australia. In the north, Byron Bay is the surfing capital, with consistent breaks and a laid-back atmosphere. The northern beaches of Sydney -- Narrabeen, Avalon, Palm Beach -- offer great surf without the crowds of Bondi. South of Sydney, the coastline gets quieter and wilder, with beautiful stretches around Jervis Bay, Ulladulla and Pambula.
