Point Perpendicular Lighthouse stands on the high southern tip of the Beecroft Peninsula, looking across the mouth of Jervis Bay. The old lighthouse dates from the late 1890s, but the setting is the real reason to go: pale cliffs, deep blue water, and a headland that feels much more remote than its distance from town suggests.
The lighthouse sits inside the Defence-managed Beecroft Weapons Range. Public access is allowed only when the range is open, and the lighthouse interior is not generally open, so check the current access notice before leaving Currarong.
