Barmouth Beach is a quiet stretch of sand north of Eden, used for swimming, picnics, and whale watching when the migration is running. It also has a local history footnote: George Bass landed here in 1797 while exploring the coast.
The beach feels more tucked away than the better-known stops around Eden. Parking is at the Barmouth Beach car park, and conditions can change quickly, so treat it as an open coastal beach rather than a sheltered swimming pool.
