Boyds Tower stands on the southern headland of Twofold Bay, a sandstone tower built in the 1840s for Benjamin Boyd. It was intended as a lighthouse, then became a lookout for whaling crews watching for migrating whales.
Today it is one of the best short trips from Eden. The headland has wide views over the bay and out to open water, and it is the starting point for the Light to Light walk through Beowa National Park. In whale season, bring binoculars and give the lookout time.
