Davidson Whaling Station is the most atmospheric historic site around Eden. The old weatherboard cottage, garden, and remains of the tryworks sit above Kiah Inlet, where the Davidson family ran one of Australia's last shore-based whaling operations.
The place is quiet now, which is part of its power. After the Killer Whale Museum, you can stand here and see how close the work was to the water, the forest, and the bay. The road in includes unsealed sections, so check conditions after heavy rain.
