Red Hands Cave is the strongest reason to choose Glenbrook for a Blue Mountains day. The rock shelter preserves Aboriginal hand stencils in red, yellow, and white ochre, protected behind fencing after decades of damage.
You can reach it by a longer walk from near Glenbrook Causeway or by driving farther into the park and taking the short track from the Red Hands Cave car park. Go quietly and do not touch the rock surface; this is a living cultural place, not just a bushwalk feature.
