Cocoparra National Park

Sandstone gorges and dry-country walks half an hour from Griffith.

Cocoparra National Park rises out of the Riverina plains northeast of Griffith, with red sandstone, short gorge walks, lookouts, spring wildflowers, and birdlife. It gives the city a strong nature anchor beyond vineyards and irrigation channels.

Jacks Creek and Falcon Falls are good first walks. Carry water and do not underestimate heat; this is dry country.
