Fivebough Wetlands is Leeton's best natural sight, a Ramsar-listed reserve just north-east of town. The wetland is known for waterbirds, especially waders, and the walking tracks and hides make it accessible without turning the visit into a major bush expedition.
Bring binoculars if you have them, and go early or late in the day when the light and bird activity are better. The place also gives Leeton a landscape story: irrigation town on one side, wetland habitat on the other.
