The Botanic Gardens sit at the base of Willans Hill and make an easy half-day with children or a picnic. The grounds include themed gardens, lawns, playgrounds, and the small Wagga Wagga Zoo and Aviary.
It is not a grand botanical garden in the capital-city sense, but it is one of Wagga's most pleasant public spaces and a useful break from the flat heat of the Riverina.
