The Blackall Historical Woolscour is the town's real anchor. Built in the early 20th century, it preserves the sheds, machinery, yards, and working logic of a steam-powered wool washing plant, at a scale that makes the old wool economy feel physical.
You need a tour to see the machinery properly. If it is running, the place is at its best: belts, timber, iron, lanolin, and practical engineering from a time when wool paid for much of inland Queensland.
