Dent Island is the small island just west of Hamilton Island, and most travellers encounter it through the Hamilton Island Golf Club. Even if golf is not your sport, the island's ridges give wide views back over the channel and surrounding islands.
It is a specialist stop rather than an essential Whitsundays experience. Go if you are based on Hamilton Island and want a different angle on the archipelago, or if a round of golf with Coral Sea views sounds like your idea of a travel splurge.
