Yeppoon Lagoon is a free public infinity-edge pool set just above the beach, with views across Keppel Bay. It is not wild nature, but it is exactly what works in tropical Queensland: shade, clean water, lawns, barbecues, and somewhere safe to cool off when the beach conditions are not ideal.
For families it is one of the easiest wins in town. For everyone else, it is a good place to reset between the coastal walks, island ferry, and cafes along the foreshore.
