Pildappa Rock

Pildappa Rock is a pink granite inselberg about 15 km from Minnipa, known for long wave formations along its sides. The curves are high, smooth, and photogenic, with deep gnamma holes and old guttering showing how rainwater was once harvested from the rock.

It is a short visit unless you linger for light. Sunset is best, when the granite warms up and the surrounding wheat country drops away into shadow.
