Tcharkuldu Rock is the rougher, closer granite outcrop near Minnipa, scattered with boulders and honeycomb-like tafoni. Walking around it is less polished than Pildappa and often more satisfying if you like scrambling, texture, and quiet.
The rock also had a practical use. Early settlers built gutters and a large dam here in 1914 to collect water for the town, turning the granite into part of Minnipa's survival system.
