Robe Obelisk

Robe's red-and-white obelisk stands on the headland above Guichen Bay, the town's most recognisable landmark. It was built in the 1850s as a daymark for shipping, and its exposed position says plenty about why Robe's coast was never an easy harbour.

Come for the view as much as the monument. The cliffs, surf, and old port approaches make this the best short walk in town.
