Falls Creek is built for skiing straight from the village. The resort has a broad spread of beginner and intermediate runs, enough advanced terrain to keep stronger skiers busy, and a compact base where lifts, lessons, and rental shops cluster close together.
The mountain is at its best after a good natural fall, but snowmaking helps the main beginner and intermediate areas through thin spells. Book parking and check chain rules before driving up in winter; the last climb from Mount Beauty is a real alpine road.
