Croajingolong National Park

Croajingolong National Park is the reason Mallacoota matters. The park protects a long, wild stretch of far East Gippsland coast: beaches, heathland, rainforest pockets, estuaries, dunes, and rocky headlands with very little settlement between them.

From Mallacoota, you can sample the park on short walks or use the town as a base for longer trips along the Wilderness Coast. Birdlife is excellent, and the variety of habitats is the park's great pleasure. Conditions change quickly, so check closures, tides, and fire warnings before committing to a remote walk.
