The Mount Buller summit is the cleanest way to understand the mountain. From the top, the resort village drops away behind you and the High Country opens in ridges, valleys, and distant blue lines.
In summer you can hike or drive close to the summit, depending on conditions and access rules. In winter, treat it as alpine terrain: weather, visibility, and snow conditions decide what is sensible.
