Gippsland Art Gallery is Sale's best indoor stop. It began in 1965 as the Sale Regional Arts Centre and has grown into one of regional Victoria's stronger public galleries.
The gallery sits inside the Port of Sale precinct, so it pairs easily with a walk around the canal and a coffee nearby. Its exhibitions lean toward Gippsland artists, landscape, and regional stories rather than blockbuster touring shows.
