Getting There

Shepparton is about 180 kilometres north-northeast of Melbourne, making it roughly two and a half hours by road via the Hume Freeway and Midland Highway. The Goulburn Valley Highway runs directly through the city.

By train, V/Line services connect Shepparton to Melbourne's Southern Cross Station. The journey takes around two hours and runs several times daily. Shepparton Station is conveniently located near the city centre. There is no direct bus service from Melbourne that competes seriously with the train.

Shepparton Airport (IATA: SHT) has a short runway and handles only light aircraft and charter flights — there are no scheduled commercial services. If you're flying in from elsewhere in Australia, you'll need to fly to Melbourne first.
