Jurien Bay Marine Park protects a long strip of limestone reef, lagoons, islands, seagrass, and clear water along the coast. Boat tours take visitors out to see or snorkel near Australian sea lions, and the same water is good for diving, kayaking, fishing, and whale watching in season.
Conditions matter. In calm weather the water can be luminous; in wind it becomes a very different proposition. Ask locally before booking a sea-lion or snorkelling trip.
