The Grotto is a small amphitheatre-like gorge and waterhole off the Great Northern Highway south of Wyndham. Stone steps lead down into the rock bowl, where water may linger after the wet season.
Conditions vary a lot by season. In the dry it can be a quiet scenic stop; after rain, treat access and swimming with caution and ask locally before assuming it is safe.
