Canal Rocks is a narrow channel cut through granite on the coast near Yallingup, with a wooden bridge and boardwalk giving a close view of the water surging through. It is a simple stop, but a satisfying one: the geology is obvious, the sea is loud, and the spray reaches the platform when the swell is up.
Come at low to moderate swell if you want to walk comfortably across the bridge. In rough conditions the place is more dramatic but less forgiving, and wave-watching from the safer upper rocks is the better plan. It pairs well with Ngilgi Cave and the northern beaches.
