Sugarloaf Rock is a jagged granite sea stack off the northern capes coast, reached by a short road from Cape Naturaliste Road. It is one of the easiest big-coast viewpoints in the region: park, walk a few minutes, and the rock fills the view with waves breaking around its base.
Photographers like it at sunset, but it is also worth visiting in rough weather when the swell gives the place scale. Stay on the marked paths and viewing areas; the cliffs are exposed and the wind can be fierce.
