To'uri Cave is one of several karst caves under the makatea ring on Mangaia, in the Tava'enga district on the north of the island. The cave was used in pre-Christian times for burials and is reached on a guided walk from the Tava'enga road. Smaller and less dramatic than Te Rua Rere, but easier to visit and a fair sampler of what the island's underground looks like.
