Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park protects a shifting dune system near the river mouth, with grey-brown sand ridges, coastal forest, and open views to a rough stretch of ocean. The dunes are also one of Fiji's key archaeological landscapes, with pottery, tools, and burial evidence showing long human use of the coast.
It is a proper walk rather than a quick photo stop. Bring water, sun protection, and shoes that can handle hot sand.
