The downtown core, bounded roughly by Victoria Parade, Renwick Road, and Cumming Street. This is where the buses converge, where the duty-free shops and money changers cluster, and where you will find the Suva Municipal Market, Sukuna Park, and the bulk of the colonial-era shopfronts.
The area is loud, crowded, and at times a little rough — pickpockets work the buses and around the market — but it is the most concentrated piece of street life in the South Pacific. By Saturday afternoon almost the entire population of Suva seems to be funneling through Cumming Street.
