Lady Bowen Falls is one of Milford Sound's signature waterfalls, dropping steeply near the head of the fiord close to the visitor area. It is especially powerful after rain, when the cliffs around Milford come alive with temporary falls as well.
Because it is near the settlement and boat departures, the falls are easy to appreciate even on a short visit. They also help explain why Milford's scenery is inseparable from water, weather, and sheer rock walls.
