Devonport's main draws are its two volcanic peaks — Mount Victoria / Takarunga and North Head / Maungauika — and the Victorian streetscape along the waterfront. North Head's military tunnels are a particular highlight, and the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum is worth an hour if you have any interest in New Zealand's naval history.
