Conical Hill is the quick walk every Hanmer visitor should consider. The track starts at the end of Conical Hill Road and climbs steadily through trees to a lookout roughly 200 metres above the village.
It is short enough to fit before breakfast or after the pools, but the view makes it feel like more than a token stroll: town below, basin beyond, mountains around the edge.
